The Cooper Family is excited to announce the opening of Vibe Cellars our new winery located in beautiful Lake Chelan, WA. We are proud to join the MANY former Boeing Employees Wine & Beer Club (BEWBC) members to stand up a Washington State licensed winery. We want to thank the MANY BEWBC Members that have taught us excellent winemaking skills (especially Steve Foisie and Steve Galea … excellent mentors), gain access to world-class wine varietals, and grow in our understanding and love for Washington wines. Each of you are an inspiration to us … THANK YOU!!
Here are Erik and Michael Cooper getting their own first 2012 vintage fruit … and another shot of them crushing our 2020 vintage … a lot of learning and passion has accumulated over those years. Both Erik and Michael completed WSU’s Viticultural Certificate Program and Erik has also completed their Vinicultural Program as well. Erik has spent the last 4 years working with Nefarious Winery in Lake Chelan and felt it was time to begin his journey in earnest.
We probably could have chosen a better time to launch our endeavor given the current Covid-19 Crisis … but, all things have their time. We opened our winery doors to website sales and winery pick-up sales this July 24th, 2020 and have received wonderful support and feedback on our first vintage … a wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon from River Ridge Vineyard on Horse Heaven Hills AVA and a fabulous Sangiovese from Chandler Reach Vineyards on the Yakima Valley AVA.
We recently bottled and labeled our 2019 wines; 2019 vintage wines include a Stillwater Creek Vineyard – Syrah and two fantastic blends …a Gemelli - Super Tuscan Blend (Chandler Reach Vineyards Sangiovese / River Ridge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon) and our unique Cabernet Sauvignon based VOODOO Blend. You might be wondering why “Gemelli” … it’s Italian for “Twins” … that should make sense given Erik and Michael are identical twins. We plan on releasing these 2019 wines later this year or with our March-April 2021 Spring Release.
