Wine Chemical Analysis Workshop

Please note that the regularly scheduled January Wine Meeting has been moved to February. There will also be a Beer Meeting in February.
Once again BEWBC will be hosting a wine analysis event for the membership. This is a great opportunity to bring your wines in for an assessment and evaluation by a panel of experienced wine makers.
For a very low flat rate of $12 to cover reagent costs and hall rental, members are welcomed to bring in up to 6 wines for testing. In additional to a sensory analysis, the wines can be assessed for:
pH
Titratable acidity
Residual sugar
Chromatography for malic acid (results will be emailed to the winemaker)
Free SO2 analysis if you have sulfite in your wines
Sulfide and mercaptan assessment
(Alcohol %v/v assessment is also offered. This is a precision analysis and be conducted off site for an additional fee of $5)
