BEWBC Club Meeting  February 27th at the Aqua Club in Kenmore. The topic was “Wines of BEWBC Vineyard Sources”.  The consensus was this is a great topic for this time of the year, when we’re reviewing grape purchase options for the upcoming season.  Joe presented background information for each AVA, and the vineyards, as we sampled wines made from the fruit of those vineyards.  The wines were both commercial and club made.

Horse Heaven Hills wine tour.

"Horse Heaven Hills Wine Growers Trail Drive and BBQ"  takes place on Saturday, July 21st.  Folks will meet growers and vintners at this all-day wine tasting event which culminates with a BBQ and music at a park.  This is an overnight event.  We will meet in Prosser Saturday late morning, with buses driving us to the various wineries, the BBQ, and then back to our hotel.   The objective is to promote membership in the club while enjoying an AVA experience in the heart of wine country.  There may be incentive of some sort for attracting potential members.

The cost of the Trail Drive to members is still being worked out.  The club is fortunate to have a corporate sponsor.

Please save the date!  July 21-22.  More to follow….
