This is an overnight event. We will meet in Prosser, WA Saturday late morning, with buses driving us to the various wineries, the BBQ, and then back to our hotel.

The objective is to promote membership in the club while enjoying an AVA experience in the heart of wine country.

The incentive for recruiting a new member is a gift certificate equivalent to one year’s BEWBC membership.

The cost to members is only $35 for an entire day of wine touring, plus the BBQ dinner, because we are fortunate to have a corporate sponsor.  When you sign up, you will receive information about the motel, which has blocked rooms for us.  If you choose to arrive Friday night, we will have a reception in one of the hotel private rooms to showcase our wines to the prospective new members.   So please bring a bottle of your wine to share!

Steve Foisie’s Last Winemaking Class August 25

It’s the end of an era.  Our constitution says: “We, the members of the Boeing Employees’ Wine and Beer Makers Club, do organize for education, recreation and pleasure in the arts of wine and beer making.” More than 20 successful commercial wineries were created as a result of the educational opportunities provided by BEWBC and, for the past 34 years, specifically Steve Foisie.

Steve’s last winemaking class will be held August 25th at the Bothell swim club.

The class is open to anyone interested, though attendance is limited to 20 students, with BEWBC members given priority.

Tuition is $35 for first-time students and covers the cost of lecture materials, yeast, nutrients, and testing.

Fundamentals of Wine Making alumni are welcome to audit the course for free.

Grapes must be purchased separately and are not included in the tuition costs.
