GRAPE PROCUREMENT 2012 –
- DEAD LINE EXTENDED TO APRIL 8TH FOR OPEN ENROLLMENT
- ALSO NOTE THAT 2012 DUES MUST BE PAID TO GET ACCESS TO THE WEB ORDERING SYSTEM (NOT 2011 AS PREVIOUSLY POSTED)
We are extending the ordering period due to some communication problems in getting the word out. We are sorry about any confusion.
Here are the details:
Open enrollment to order grapes via the website www.bewbc.org began on March 12 and goes thru April 8th.
After April 8 st you may still place orders via the website, but note that some grapes will be sold out and no longer available or, in the event of harvest shortages, you will have lower priority than those who placed their orders before April 8th.
To order grapes (you must have your 2012 membership dues paid! ) go to www.bewbc.org and go to the GRAPE INFO & ORDERING menu within the MEMBERS AREA menu. See “Vineyard Guide” for info about the vineyards selling us grapes and “Order Grapes Online” to place an order.
VERY IMPORTANT: some offerings are only available via the grape FORUM on www.bewbc.org (the forum where messages are posted, not the “Vineyard Guide” or “Order Grapes Online” parts of our website). Typically, there are half dozen to dozen grape offerings that are only listed on the forum. It is recommended that you CHECK THE GRAPE PROCUREMENT FORUM periodically (e.g. weekly) or, better yet, select “SUBSCRIBE” to set up to receive email notification when there is a new forum posting. Note that there is currently a time limited offer on the forum for Grenache. Check it out.
We have noted that grape orders are down below normal so far this year. This drives a concern that with some vineyards we may be in a “use or lose it situation”
Please contact Joe Sikora or Kevin Neal or any of the vineyard specific focals with any questions.
