Wine News

This is a heads up that grape ordering via the club website (https://bewbc.org/) will begin MARCH 1ST.

Grape ordering "Open Enrollment" will go from March 1st thru March 20th.  Open Enrollment (OE) is a time period where all orders are given equal priority access to the available allocation and equality priority if there are shortages at harvest time.  Orders can still be placed after OE, but are fulfilled on an "as available" basis after OE orders and also will be given lower priority (i.e. order will be reduced or cut before OE orders) if there are shortages at harvest time.

Primary benefits of ordering during OE:

  1. Ensure that you get the grapes you want.
  2. It is EXTREMELY helpful towards our business with the vineyards - the sooner they know what we will purchase from them, the better standing we are with the vineyard.

Other reminders:

  1. Renew your membership!
  2. Check out the grape offerings in Members section of the website.
  3. Check again when the start of OE is officially announced - THERE WILL BE 1 OR 2 NEW OFFERINGS

Finally: ALL ORDERS ARE A COMMITMENT - if even your circumstances change at harvest time.  This is the way it works with the vineyards' commercial customers (including legal contracts), this must be the way it works with us if we expect these vineyards to sell to us.
